There are plenty of dinner cruises to choose from in Cancun.  However, if you are looking for a fun and exciting dinner cruise that is kid-friendly, then there really is only one choice.  What is that choice?  It is the Captain Hook Dinner Cruise.

The Captain Hook Dinner Cruise is unlike any of the other cruises in Cancun.  On the cruise, you and your family will have the pleasure of getting entertained by Captain Hook himself.  He will tell you about his stories from the sea as you enjoy a lovely feast on the cruise ship.

On the cruise ship, you will be treated to either a sit-down dinner or a dinner buffet.  You will have the option of either having steak or lobster for dinner.  In addition to that, you will also get to enjoy a salad bar, rice, steamed vegetables and grilled chicken.

At some point during your dinner on the cruise ship, another ship will sneak up on Captain Hook’s ship.  As soon as Captain Hook is made known of the other ship’s presence, he will order his men to go into battle against the members of the other ship.

During the battle between the two ship members, cannons, pistols and swords will all be used.  Also, there will be usage of both light and sound effects to help enhance your experience on the cruise ship.

If you and your family have a fascination with pirates, then the Captain Hook Dinner Cruise really cannot be missed.  You will feel what it’s like to be with pirates for the evening.  In the end, it will likely be your most memorable experience in Cancun.

Do you want to see one of the new Seven Wonders of the World?  Then make sure to leave the beaches of Cancun for a full day at the Chichen Itza.  It is the single most highly regarded zone of archaeology in the Mayan world.  The Mayan people were very powerful during their time.  So it is more than just a little exciting to be able to see the things that they have left behind.

The Sacred Cenote is the place of all Mayan sacrifices.  Give it a tour during your visit to Chichen Itza.  Then go to the Ball Court, and imagine the Mayans playing their games there.  What types of games did the Mayans play?  They usually play games that require both skills and a good amount of strength.

While at the Chichen Itza, you will not have to guide yourself.  Instead, you can rely on a guide who speaks English to show you around the Chichen Itza.  The Chichen Itza tour guide will be with you for about 90 minutes, before letting you loose to roam the Mayan land by yourself.

Afterwards, go to the underwater grotto at Chichen Itza.  Swim around as you see the natural beauty of the underwater grotto.  Then get ready for a hearty dinner buffet.

Once it gets dark in Chichen Itza, prepare yourself for a good show.  Feel yourself almost instantly transported into the Mayan times.  Plus enjoy the Chichen Itza’a dazzling show of lights.  The 13 hours that you spend on this touring of the Chichen Itza will leave you with many fabulous memories.

When snorkelers and divers explore the waters of Cancun, they are easily drawn to the beautiful coral reefs that have been naturally formed in the ocean.  Unfortunately, all of that attention from underwater explorers can be harmful to the coral reefs.  However, asking people to stop diving into Cancun’s water would be an unrealistic expectation, especially when you consider how beautiful it is down there.  For that reason, Jason deCaires Taylor made it his very own mission to offer a solution to the coral reef problem in the waters of Cancun.

Who is Jason deCaires Taylor and what is his solution?  Jason deCaires Taylor is an eco-sculptor who is internationally recognized for his works.  Mainly, he makes sculptures.  However, they are not the type of sculptures that you typically see at art galleries.  Jason deCaires Taylor’s sculptures actually come to life with the help of the underwater species that dwell in the waters of Cancun.

Unlike other sculptures, the works of Jason deCaires Taylor does not usually get displayed in modern art galleries.  Instead, they are mainly featured underwater for snorkelers and divers to see and be amazed by.  For instance, his many underwater sculptures are what make up the Cancun Underwater Museum.

What does the Cancun Underwater Museum have to do with the previously mentioned coral reef problem?  The Cancun Underwater Museum attracts many snorkelers and divers—the same ones that would have otherwise been drawn to the natural coral reefs.  By diverting the attention of underwater explorers, the works of Jason deCaires Taylor has helped to save the coral reefs in Cancun.

"During your touring of the Rio Secreto, you are going to be shielded from the sun the entire time. "

Located just 90 minutes away from the city of Cancun, the Rio Secreto Tour is something that you won’t want to miss during your time in Cancun.  Rio Secreto is a cave that has only started to allow for entries from visitors in the more recent years.  The experience of touring the Rio Secreto is different from most other caves.  That is because you won’t just be walking or hiking through the Rio Secreto, but you will also be swimming through certain portions of the Rio Secreto cave.

Caves that fully sit under the water require visitors to be certified in diving.  Therefore, they are not an option for a lot of people.  Rio Secreto is not such a cave.  You do not even need to be a proficient swimmer to be able to tour the Rio Secreto.  As long as you can float on top of the water, you will be okay.  You will even get some floating assistance from the life jacket that is freely loaned out to you during the Rio Secreto Tour.

During your touring of the Rio Secreto, you are going to be shielded from the sun the entire time.  For that reason, it is unnecessary for you to wear any type of sun protection.  In fact, it is preferred for you to not have sunscreen or any other lotions on your body while on the Rio Secreto.  That is because introducing those things into the Rio Secreto can be harmful to the cave.  So if you already have it on, consider washing it off before starting the Rio Secreto Tour.

"Your whale shark adventure begins at the Puerto Juarez marina."

Want the most memorable snorkeling experience of your entire life?  Then head to Cancun to swim with some whale sharks.  The snorkeling memory will certainly last a lifetime.

Where will the swimming with the whale sharks be taking place?  Your whale shark adventure begins at the Puerto Juarez marina.  It is right by the ferry terminal in Cancun.  However, you won’t have to take the ferry to get to the swimming site.  In fact, you don’t need to find transportation at all.  The swim expedition will provide you with a ride to and from the marina.  They will pick you up from your hotel at sometime before 7:30 am.

From the marina, there will be a boat to take you out into the water at 8 am.  You will ride the boat for about 45 minutes before you can see the whale sharks.  In total, you’ll get the chance to swim with the whale sharks for about 35 minutes of time.  However, you can only go in for 10 minutes at a time.

After the swimming with the whale shark experience, you will then be transported to the Isle Cha.  What will you be doing at the Isle Cha?  You’ll continue your adventure with some reef snorkeling.

During your whale shark adventure, you will not be allowed to touch the whale sharks.  Nor are you permitted to feed them.  Just enjoy the moment, and marvel at the whale sharks' majestic beauty.   You can even take pictures of the whale sharks for viewing at a later time.

"Something else that is unique about the Extreme Canopy Adventure Tour from Selvatica is the Army truck."

Do you want to experience what many are calling the number one adventure in all of Mexico?  Then you better get ready for an extreme zip line tour in the city of Cancun.  More precisely, you have got to try the Extreme Canopy Adventure from Selvatica.

What is unique about Selvatica’s Extreme Canopy Adventure Tour?  Also, what makes it so extreme?  The answer to both questions lies in the length, height, and speed of the zip lines that are included in the Extreme Canopy Adventure Tour.  The zip lines are higher up in the air, span a greater distance, and are much faster than the other typical zip lines.  So what does that all mean for you?  It means you are going to have an adrenaline rush like you have never had before.

Something else that is unique about the Extreme Canopy Adventure Tour from Selvatica is the Army truck.  After you have finished riding the zip lines, the Selvatica staff members will ask you to get on an Army truck for a fun commute into the jungle.  That alone sounds interesting enough, but it gets even better.  The Army truck will actually transport you to a cenote.  At the cenote you can swim or hang about in a leisurely fashion.  Furthermore, you can use the zip line there to make your big jump into the cenote.   If one jump is not enough, you can keep jumping into the cenote over and over again.  Then finish the tour with a drink and a light lunch.
